The Department of Neurobiology and Behavior (NB&B) has a distinguished faculty of 23 spanning the gamut of neuroscience. Their interests range from the properties of single neurons to neural networks and all the way to the organization of animal societies. Research in the Department falls into five core areas: cellular and molecular neuroscience, systems neuroscience, computational neuroscience, animal behavior, and chemical ecology. Many faculty members have truly integrative programs of research that span these different levels of analysis. The Department offers a wide range of courses and research opportunities, making it one of the most popular areas of study for undergraduates majoring in biology.
The associated Graduate Field of Neurobiology and Behavior encompasses all neuroscience research on Cornell’s Ithaca campus. The graduate program's goal is to advance the understanding of neuroscience and behavior by training the next generation of scientists working at this interface.
Applications are now being accepted for a faculty position as a tenure track Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior
